Ohio Earthquakes

Northeastern Ohio Residents are receiving up to $5,000 per acre from energy companies, but on the down side have experienced 11 earthquakes since last March. Experts say they linked to the oil and gas industry. Since November 2010 Ohio Works has been injecting saltwater and chemicals about 9,000 feet into the ground. The Ohio DNR says the company has been drilling over an unknown fault, and may have caused a disturbance. In other states earthquakes have been tied to injection wells.
